About Hector
Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico with a bachelors degree in Graphic Arts. At the age of 17 Hector decided to take a 6 month trip to the United States to expand his never-ending desire to learn graphic and motion design. Now 10 years and several cool and some odd jobs later he thought it was time to create his own website doing freelance work for other small and not so small companies in desperate need for logos, web graphics and some other weird stuff and to showcase his latest work.
His strength lies in Illustrator, Photoshop and from time to time he opens up InDesign or QuarkXpress, only if needed of course. The past 10 years or so he’s been working for several companies like Art Squad, A&M Image and Design Studio, STAK Design, Harty’s Printing, Knight Graphics and Signazon.com. When times were really tough he learned how to make pizzas, flip burgers, and sell cars to name a few and now he’s very glad those tough times are over.
Hector is a very curious person. He’s always thinking of weird things and what makes people think or act different ways while keeping an open mind about it, even though sometimes it’s very difficult. He loves staying informed on things happening around the world. He loves motion graphics and special effects in movies. Especially any Steven Spielberg movies, that guy is a genius!
When Hector is not doing graphic design contests, learning photography or reading his favorites blogs he likes to relax and travel. One day he is going to visit one of those dreamy Thailand beaches. Believe me, sooner or later he gets what he wants without harming anybody in the process, it sounds impossible I know, but it really can happen with willpower and some creativity.
Make sure to check out some of the graphics he has done in the past and if you are interested on hiring him to help you with some graphic love, photo sessions or just want him to say “Hi”, there’s a special page created just for you called Contact Hector.
Always Curious,
Hector’s Mind
